SEMI-SPOILER ALERT!

The cast of “Desperate Housewives” was caught filming at Hollywood Presbyterian Church last week. We can assume that a church = wedding, yes?

From the looks of it, Mike and Orson are the only two men who are super well-dressed. Also safe to assume that Orson’s not going to get married. Jackson’s no where in sight, and neither are Susan or Katherine. So essentially, these photos don’t help up as at all in figuring out who’s getting married. Tom looks adorable in the sneaks, though, and Tony Parker came to visit his wife on the set! All together now: Aaaaawwwwww!

Desperate Housewives ‘Bargaining’

OK, so tonight’s the night that Gale Harold/Jackson makes his triumphant return to Wisteria Lane. We know from the previews on last week’s episode that he’s going to propose, and I’m guessing it’ll be a no from Susan? Or not, who knows. Anyway, Neighbor Peggy has bailed aGAIN for DH Night, so I’m with Friend Erin (who, oddly enough, has gotten super interested in the show) and Friend From High School Jen! She’s NEVER SEEN AN EPISODE OF DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES (I know, right?), but she’s staying with me for a few days, so she has no choice this week.

Ready? Let’s go! (That reminds me of a cheer I did in high school once. Moving on…)

9:00: The “previously on” is ALL ABOUT SUSAN. And I’m OK with it. Here’s why: I love the Karl drama. And this is also the Great Return of Gale Harold. Both of those are two things that’ll make me watch a Susan-centric episode with the glee of a WoW player at a gaming convention.
9:02: Aight, I’m just going to say this: I don’t like MJ. I don’t like his acting, I don’t like his Children-of-the-Corn demeanor, and I don’t lilke his little front-flip cowlick. That is all.
9:04: Yes! Bree’s only reeeaaally Bree when she’s maneating. And man oh man, is she maneating with this divorce. I’ve MISSED this!
9:07: Uh oh, I smell an eating disorder as Juanita’s looking longingly at a cover of mom…or, you know, a terrible use of mom’s makeup. Whatever, I was close. (Or not at all?)
9:11: “Jackson, Hey. You’re back.” That’s………it? Well, she DID look really excited/happy to have dinner with him. I have a feeling she’s not as aprehensive about him returning as I first thought?
9:14: Aw, Tom’s like the overworked and underappreciated housewife, and then he OPENS HIS SHIRT and whoooa, ABS! Where have you been keeping those, Tommy?
9:15: They have some quick office sex. “That was fast,” –Erin.
9:16: Karl’s handling Bree’s divorce. It’s like the writers are giving me everything I could ever want in life. Do they know that I thrive on trashy desperateness? Gimme more! (Sorry…been listenin’ to Britney a little bit too much lately!)

Marc Cherry said yesterday that Gale Harold, who plays Susan’s (ex)boyfriend Jackson, will most definitely be returning by the end of the season.

“We are planning to write him in before the end. We had to wait while he did his recovery, but he will be back,” Cherry told Kristin Dos Santos from E!.

I know some people think he was a bad fit to begin with, and I for one, always will see him as Brian Kinney from “Queer as Folk”…so what do we think about this?

And how will he fit back into the story? I’m predicting there’ll be some epic battle for Susan’s love between Jackson and Karl…or maybe I’m just hoping for that?

Kristin Dos Santos from E! Online found out that recent reports in “TV Guide” saying Gale Harold won’t return are false!

“The producers stick by this recently released statement: ‘We are working on bringing him back to the show. We just don’t know when. Because we had to work around his absence, the story doesn’t require him immediately. But we would like to have him back on the show very soon.’” she said.

You guys have been vocal on this blog about Gale/Jackson’s absence from the show! Maybe someone high up on the DH food chain heard you?

Marc Cherry has been asked to cut $1 million from the ‘wives budget, reports E!’s Ted Casablanca. So that means, although Nicollette’s departure from the show has definitely been confirmed, she won’t be the only one. As for now, it’ll only be “guest stars” leaving, Ted said.

Who do you think will be desperately searchin’ for a new job? Better yet, who do you think should be desperately searchin’ for a new job?

These are my guesses: No more Lily Tomlin as one half of the Old-Lady P.I.s (though they best not be getting rid of Mrs. McCluskey…). I think we already knew this one, but this probably means Jackson/Gale Harold is gone for good. Who else? Katherine? A lass can hope, can’t she?

9:01: What’d Justin say his mother’s name was? Melina Caminas…Hyenas? Is there a coincidence that both Bree and Hyenas have red hair? I’m sensing a battle between the Good Bree and the Bad Bree. I don’t think I know which one is which.
9:03 Ah! Edie Williams realty! I keep forgetting that her last name isn’t Britt anymore. Whatever. I’m still calling her Edie Britch.
9:04: What’s wrong with Dave’s face? Peggy says it looks like he stole the color from Edie’s face. Definitely not from her chest, though. Sista looks like she’s always three seconds from a terrible case of melanoma.
9:05: Peggy and I both at the same time: “Woah, Susan!” Peggy meant is as a bad “woah” to the ruh-fuffle-fuffle shoulders on Susan’s jacket. I, however, meant it as a good “woah” because her hair finally doesn’t look like a dirtier, stringier version of Kurt Cobain’s.
9:07: Ha! Lee just called Susan a drag queen! He said it, I didn’t.
9:08: “Naked people are gross,” Carlos. Some are, Carlos. Some are.
9:09: OMG! BREE AND I HAVE THE SAME IRON!!! What does this say for my homemakery abilities? Should I be able to iron like an angel now? (How do angels iron?)

Good news, kids!!!

When Gale Harold, who plays Jackson on Desperate Housewives, was hurt in a motocycle accident on Oct. 14., I was panicky.

And since then, relatively little news has come out about his progress, making me even more panicky. Until now!

Gale was seen at the Kirk Douglas Theatre near L.A., to see “The Little Dog Laughed.” According to Bay Windows, Gale will “be returning to Desperate Housewives after the holiday break.”

This can only mean one thing: More drama in the soon-to-be-love-square of Susan, Jackson, Mike and Katherine!

…to which I can only say one thing: Yay!

On October 14th, Desperate Housewives actor Gale Harold was in a motorcycle accident. The latest update on his condition is that he is out of intensive care and improving daily after some serious injuries.

“A full recovery is expected,” said a statement from Nancy Seltzer & Associates, which represents the actor. “He thanks everyone for their good wishes.”

After the accident, Gale had swelling on the brain as well as a fractured shoulder. He has been in the intensive care unit at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center.

March Cherry said early last week that no production disruptions were expected. I don’t know if that’s still the case, but the most important thing is that Gale Harold makes a full recovery.

Update (10/17):“According to reports, the Desperate Housewives star is improving nicely from his motorcycle accident earlier this week. At the moment Gale is still under observation at County-USC in downtown Los Angeles, but he will be moved to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center near Beverly Hills for further treatment when a bed becomes available. According to reports, he’s expected to recover, which is fancy talk for “everything is gonna be all right.” Despite Harold’s injury and ongoing recovery, no major Desperate Housewives production disruptions are expected.” Source: E! Update: Marc Cherry has said, “We’re hearing he’s going to be fine, but he’s going to be recovering for a couple of weeks.” He also said that Gale was shooting scenes for the show this week and at least one scene has been written due to the accident.

E! Online has reported that Gale Harold, who plays Susan’s lover on Desperate Housewives, was injured in a motorcycle accident yesterday, October 14th.

Hospital sources confirmed that he was in the neurosurgical intensive care unit at County-USC Medical Center in stable condition. A representative for the actor said, “We can confirm that Gale Harold was in a motorcycle accident yesterday, Oct 14. He has fractured his shoulder and is under observation to assess any possible further injuries. Everyone is hopeful for a full recovery. No one else was injured in the accident.”

Let’s hope there are no more injuries and that he has a speedy recovery. I’ll keep you updated with any new information.
