Desperate Housewives Episode 4.09 “Something’s Coming” Recap

Here’s my recap of Desperate Housewives Episode 4.09 "Something’s Coming".  This episode was just as intense as the previews said.  Such a good one!

Gaby announces to the ladies that she and Carlos are back together.  Bree says she just got married and they bought her expensive gifts. Bree says it’s going to kill Edie.  Gaby says not so lucky.  Edie told Victor everything and that’s why they’re leaving town.  Mrs. McCluskey drives by to tell them that a tornado is about to hit town.  The ladies are all upset that Gaby’s leaving.  Then Mary Alice says little did they know that one of them would lose a husband and they would all lose a friend. 

Everyone in town is packing up their stuff rushing to get ready for the storm except Gabrielle who was packing to leave town.  Gaby hears on TV that Victor’s leaving the hospital the next day.  Carlos asks her to make sure she gets the papers for the Cayman Island account.  She says she’s too busy packing.  Carlos says she was only supposed to pack the essentials  Why is she bringing a boa.  She says she doesn’t want to go anywhere she won’t need a boa.  Carlos says he needs to go say something to Edie.  Gaby gets upset and tells him to never mention her name again.

Lynette goes to ask Mrs. McCluskey if they can have shelter from the storm in her basement.  She says no at first but Lynette convinces her.

Katherine is talking to Dylan on the phone when she sees Sylvia outside.  She asks her what the hell she’s doing there.  They argue and Sylvia tells her that she saw Adam the day before and that he’s starting to keep things from her again. 

Bree comes to drop by some supplies for the storm at Susan’s and it turns out that Orson already knows about Mike’s drug addiction.  Susan’s surprised because the pills were in Orson’s name.  Bree leaves and Susan looks upset.  As she’s leaving she sees Katherine spit in Sylvia’s face.

Sylvia drives off and Bree comes up to Katherine and asks if everything is alright.  She rudely says that everything is fine.  Bree goes up to Sylvia’s car to ask if she’s ok and invites her over for tea.

Sylvia’s surprised Bree’s being so nice to her.  Bree says she knows how mean Katherine is.  Sylvia tells Bree that Katherine’s mad because Adam’s in love with her.  She asks if they’re happy.  Bree says they seem content.  Sylvia gets upset and insults Bree.  She starts going nuts and tells her that Adam has a snake tattoo on his shoulder and she licked it.  She freaks out and locks herself in the bathroom.  She wants Adam to come.

Susan goes to see Orson who’s with a patient.  She wants to know why he gave Mike pills when he knows Mike has a drug problem.  Orson says he was having lots of pain in his shoulder.  Susan says does it make sense to give pills to someone with a drug problem.  She threatens him and says if he so much as gives Mike a breath mint she’ll hurt him.

Some little kid comes and tells Edie that Gaby is leaving town with Carlos.  She’s upset.

Mike looks for his pills in his glove box and finds a note from Susan instead.  He goes inside and fight.  He’s defending his drug problem.  He grabs her as she’s on the stairs and she falls down!  Oh no the baby!

 At the hospital Mike’s really worried about Susan.  Because she isn’t bleeding they say it’s going to be a long wait.

Katherine’s yelling at Adam for not telling her Sylvia showed up when Bree comes by and asks to borrow Adam.

Bree asks Adam to get Sylvia out of her bathroom.  Katherine’s upset because she thinks Bree invited her in to get dirt on her.  Sylvia gets excited when she hears Adams voice but then gets upset that Katherine’s there.  Katherine asks Bree what she told her.  Katherine denies that they had an affair.  She says that she’s crazy and thought they were in love.  She accused him of sexual assault.  Katherine wanted to fight it but Adam wanted to settle.  They lost everything and had to move.   That’s why they moved back to Fairview.  Bree says if it’s any consolation I would have spat in her face too.

Aww Bree and Katherine are bonding.

The Scavos show up at Mrs McCluskey’s basement.  The kids are annoying and screaming.  Penny’s banging on something.  Tom asks if there’s a cat.  Ida brought her cat Toby.  Tom’s really allergic.  Lynette asks if she can put the cat upstairs.  Ida says sure if we put Penny with him.  Tom says he’ll be fine when Mrs McCluskey says they can leave if they’re unhappy there.

Mike’s freaking out at the hospital because nobody will look at Susan.  Mike starts to beat up hospital staff.  He’s having withdrawal symptoms.

Mike’s in handcuffs when Susan comes out and tells him everything is fine.  She has a mild sprain in her ankle.  She asks how he’s doing. He says he’s so sorry.  Susan says the doctor knows of a good rehab center.  The nurse comes by with some pain meds for Susan and Mike asks her for pills.  She says no and if he doesn’t go to rehab she’s going to leave him with the baby.  He says you win, I’ll go.

A man shows up at Gaby’s house where Edie is outside.  He thinks Edie is Gaby and gives her the papers for the Cayman island account.  Gabrielle hears the car and asks Edie what she’s got.  When Edie runs off Gaby says oh crap.

Tom’s not doing well with his allergies.  Lynette grabs the cat.

Gaby runs over to Edie’s house and bangs on the door.  Edie says she called the police already.  Gaby throws a chair through her window and says oh good you’re home.

Lynette throws the cat upstairs when Mrs. McCluskey stops her.  Lynette says they’re friends.  She says that she’s only friends with her when she needs something. The cat runs outside and Karen runs after him.

Edie and Gaby are fighting over the money.  Edie says that if she gives her 60% she’ll leave them alone.  Gaby attacks her and takes the papers and runs outside.  Edie grabs them from her and they fly away.  They see the tornado is really close and run inside.

Mrs McCluskey is trying to get Toby the cat out from under a car when Lynette grabs her and tells her she’s not going to let her die.  They see the tornado and run towards a house.

Edie tells Gaby that she has a crawl space they might be able to fit in.  Gaby says no way is she going in with her.  Something flies through the window and Gaby says get out of my way and goes into the crawl space.

Orson comes home and finds they’re locked out of the bathroom.  The storm picks up and Orson heads them into a closet.

Lynette and Mrs McCluskey hide under a mattress.

Edie and Gaby are in the crawl space and Gaby starts to apologize for what she and Carlos did.  Edie tells her to shut the hell up.  No death bed confessions.  She’s going to hate her for years to come.  Gaby says you really hate me?  Edie says no, I just really fell for him which was stupid because I really fell for him.  There’s a noise and they cuddle together.

Katherine finds out that Adam really did have an affair when Bree mentions the tattoo.

Carlos shows up at Gaby’s and finds Victor waiting for him.  Carlos asks where Gaby is.  He says I thought she was with you and we see he has a gun.  He says I guess we’ll have to wait for her together.

Carlos tells Victor that they never planned on getting back together but it just happened.  He says they never set out to hurt him and he’s sorry they did.  Victor starts to shoot at Carlos!  Carlos runs outside and Victor follows.  Carlos wrestles the gun out of his hands and we see a car fly by.  Carlos tries to break into a nearby house when he turns around and sees Victor ready to hit him with a pole when a fence picket flying through the air impales him in the chest.  Carlos tries the door of the house again when he’s knocked unconscious by another flying object.

Sylvia comes out of the bathroom and screams that she’s leaving and this is his last chance.  She opens the door and flies away.

Everyone’s leaving their hiding places when the storms passes.  Lynette and Karen McCluskey come out and see that Mrs. McCluskey’s house is completely gone.  Lynette starts to scream for Tom and the kids.

OMG what a mean cliffhanger!!!!
