Desperate Housewives Inspired by Macbeth?
In a recent interview with National Public Radio, Desperate Housewives producer Marc Cherry admitted that the characters in the show were inspired by Shakespeare’s famous tragedy, Macbeth.
In the play, the wife of the protagonist, Macbeth, plots to murder the king of Scotland so her husband can take the crown. Does this remind you of any desperate housewife in particular?
