Carlos and Gabrielle must go to court to get custody of baby Lily, as it’s been uncovered that he was legally someone else’s child. They’re granted provisional custody, as the baby’s father is a senior in high school out of town on spring break.

Lynette is called in to her kid’s school as one of her kids has gone from being obsessed with dinosaurs to being obsessed with vaginas: He asks a girl to show him hers, and is also drawing naked women.
One of Susan’s exes arrives at a movie theater with a date; when Susan sees this, she convinces another man to pose as her date. Later, the man asks Susan out, but Susan says she can’t, as she’s troubled by feelings for her ex, Karl, who’s engaged to someone else. Susan is convinced that Karl isn’t in love with Edie. This new male character is to be played by Kyle McLachlan and will be around for multiple episodes.
Mike fixes the sink of a woman who flirts with him and then undresses in front of Mike. While he admits he’s not married, he also doesn’t give in to her advances.
Carol Burnett appears as Eleanor Mason, Bree’s stepmother. Eleanor is “a very tightly wound, proper lady for whom appearances mean everything”, according to Marc Cherry. Eleanor and Bree’s father Henry show up to stop family secrets from being revealed by Andrew. Their goal is to mediate the conflict between the two. via desperate-housewives
