Desperate Housewives Season 4 Premiere Live Blogging

So Edie’s not dead! Thank goodness! Carlos saves her just in the nick of time.
The ladies all show up at the hospital minus Gabrielle who just got married. They flash back to Gabrielle in her wedding dress with Carlos hiding underneath. Apparently Carlos and Gabrielle made plans to run away together after the wedding only now that Carlos found Edie he’s stuck at the hospital.
Meanwhile Gabrielle has her bags packed. She keeps stalling Victor so she can meet up with Carlos. Carlos calls and tells her about Edie and that he needs to stay at the hospital. Carlos tells her that they’ll have to wait a few weeks. Gabrielle says she’d rather try to work things out with Victor than run away by herself.
One month later Mike and Susan are sitting at the kitchen table and Susan is neurotically asking Mike if he’s happy. She doesn’t believe him. Susan says "This marriage is doomed" when they notice a moving van.
At the Van De Kamp’s Andrew tells Bree he doesn’t want to help her with her little hoax. He thinks someone’s going to find out. Bree’s worried about their reputation. Orson comes in and tells them about the moving van.
At the Scavos Lynette is BALD! :( She’s frantically searching for her wig because apparently her kids and everyone else doesn’t know about her cancer. Her son tells her about the moving van.
Victor is at Gaby’s house talking about selling it. She’s upset and says she doesn’t want to sell it. He leans in to kiss her and she pulls away and says oh look a moving van.
The ladies are standing outside watching the movers unpack. Out steps Katherine. Susan remembers her and runs up to give her a hug. The rest of the ladies don’t know who she is.
It’s been 12 years since she lived in town. Susan asks about her aunt Mrs. Sims. Katherine says that’s the reason they moved back because she doesn’t want her to live out her last days in a nursing home. Plus her husband found a job there. In walks her hunky husband.
Gaby asks what he does. She says he’s a doctor. Lynette says she hates her.
Her daughter Dylan comes downstairs and Susan mentions how excited Julie will be that she’s back. She says who’s Julie? Katherine says, you remember she’s your best friend.
Bree and Katherine start bickering about a tree. Bree doesn’t want to cut it down. Katherine says they’ll work it out somehow. She suggests curtains. Then Susan changes the subject by suggesting a meal so she can get to know everyone. Katherine says no need because she’s having a BBQ for the whole neighborhood.
Bree and Orson are shoe shopping at Macys when they bump into a neighbor who wants to touch her belly. She doesn’t want her to of course because she’s not really pregnant. She says the baby’s not kicking. The lady insists when Bree forcefully grabs her hand and tells her to back off.
Susan’s at the gynecologist. Her regular doctor is busy so they send in Dr. Mayfair. She’s embarrassed and suggests that it’s weird because he’s her neighbor. She’s having trouble relaxing. As he’s between her legs he says that Katherine has talked about her for years and it’s nice to put a face to the name.
Lynette is at her kid’s play when she bumps into another mother who says she needs to run a fundraiser. Her mom says she should have played the cancer card.
Back at the doctor’s office he asks her if she’s missed her period and had night flashes. She’s insulted that he’s suggesting she might be going through menopause. He says it’s a simple test. She sees what year he graduated from med school and then feels old and says he can do the test.
Lynette starts feeling queasy at the play and barfs in what she thinks is her mother’s purse, only it’s the purse of the annoying other mother.
At the BBQ Katherine’s talking to Mrs. McCluskey. She asks why they left town so suddenly.
Mike and Susan are grabbing food when Mike says the eggs are past their prime. She starts to freak out when a group of old ladies are asking her to sit with them and runs off.
Julie bumps into Dylan who has no idea who she is.
Susan tells Mike about menopause. Mike says it doesn’t matter. Mike says he loves her and if kids don’t happen he’s fine with that. She’s really moody and says they’re doomed again.
Edie shows up with Carlos. She thinks the party is for her. She keeps trying to make Gabrielle jealous about her relationship with Carlos when Katherine shows up. Edie says welcome to my party.
Gaby finds Carlos and yells at him about Edie. He says he needs to be with her and asks if she can get away tonight. They kiss and he says he just need to be back in time to give Edie her pills. Gaby freaks out because she thought he meant running away together. He says he can’t yet because Edie’s too fragile. Gaby stomps off upset congratulating him on his engagement to Edie.
Bree is on the phone with Danielle. She wants a DVD player. She leans over to get some food and stabs a BBQ fork in her belly. Everyone starts to worry when Orson says it’s a magic trick.
The crazy mom comes and gives Lynette a packet for the gala. Her mom disapproves. Her daughter comes over wanting attention but she says she’s too tired. Her mom says mommy has more important things to do.
Orson wants to give up on the fake baby thing because of the mishap. She basically tells him she wants to keep the baby to have a second chance at parenthood since she screwed up her other kids. Orson gets excited and says let the charade continue.
Lynette is cornered by the crazy mom and tells her she can’t do the gala. They bicker back and forth a bit until Lynette takes off her wig and says she has cancer. The other friends see and look shocked.
Lynette sits down with the girls and reassures them that she’s going to be fine. They’re mad she didn’t tell them. She says she hates the fear and pity she sees in their eyes. Lynette says that they should make a pact and tell each other all the shocking things in their lives. They’re all so dishonest!
Victor is flipping through some paper when Gaby shows up with wine and glasses. She says she’s not happy and that they need to talk. She says he’s so busy and suggests they go away for a bit. She says how’s next week. He picks up his book and lists off all the things he needs to be doing. He says he has two weeks free in April.
Carlos is heading out to the Scavos for some beer when he’s really going to Gaby’s. He shows up and asks what she wanted. She says to get him away from Edie and passionately kisses him.
Julie and Dylan are sitting around talking. She can’t remember anything from her childhood. She says she has a creepy dream about a man trying to grab her. Julie asks if she ever talked to a therapist about it. She says her mom got mad when she suggested it.
Susan is at home when Adam shows up. He’s embarrassed because she’s not going through menopause at all, she’s pregnant. Mike hears and excitedly picks Susan up and kisses her. He says he’s never been happier.
Edie comes downstairs to Carlos sleeping on the couch. He says he got in late she says he trusts him but wishes he trusted her. She brings up his offshore bank account. He’s worried. She hugs him and says this relationship is going to work because he can trust her just like she can trust him not to hurt her.
Julie packs her bag up for school and ells her mom that Dylan isn’t the same girl she hung out with when she was a little girl.
Adam finds Katherine in "the" room. She hasn’t been letting Dylan in there. He says why does it matter. You may remember what happened in here, but she can’t. He asks if they made a mistake coming back. She says did we have a choice and leaves and locks the door.
