Drea de Matteo is not axed from ‘Desperate Housewives’

This shouldabeen taken with a grain of salt anyway, but the National Enquirer reported over the weekend that because of budgetary reasons, the “Desperate Housewives” gods were going to kill/eliminate Drea de Matteo off the show.
Not so, says E!’s Michael Ausiello. No, Drea/Angie (shown here on Sunday with her husband, Shooter Jennings, at Bardot for an American Music Awards after party) will be on 20 of the season’s 23 episodes, he says.
That said, is “Desperate Housewives” recession proof?

Amy, amy, AMY. I just found out from E! Kirsten that 5, thats right FIVE, people will die as a result from the fiery plane crash, and Orson will NOT be one of it’s victims. So five people, and atleast 1 is eliminated. Karl anyone? I hope not, I love Karl, but you know it will be.
Jaz, that was MY THOUGHT EXACTLY! I think my Drea 101 knowledge was pretty much at zero before she joined the show…but apparently she’s married to Waylon’s son? Ha!
Timmeh!: Thanks for that exact number! We knew that there were going to be a lot of death, but only one REAL real character dies, and one major character is “affected” by the crash.
