Drea de Matteo talks about joining the cast and how her character will ’shake some stuff up’
September 2, 2009 by Amy Bartner
Drea de Matteo told ABC.com’s Ricardo Martinez that she’s been brought into the show for a “very big mystery” and Angie Bolen will “have a lot of secrets.”
“She’s a family woman, but unlike the rest of the girls on Wisteria lane, she’s a very liberal New Yorker,” she said.
These women all are strong in their own ways, but we’ve really, really needed that extremely tough (brassy, as Drea calls it) chick on the block, don’t you think? Lynette’s almost there, but not quite like I imagine Angie will be.
We’ve heard Marc Cherry talk about how he regrets how quickly the Season Two mystery with the Applewhites came into the show, and the comparisons to the (also)fish-out-of-water Bolens are undeniable. I’m willing to bet Marc has learned his lesson, and we’ll see whatever this mystery is unfold naturally — but suspensefully — of course.

Ooooh I like her already!!!
