Interview with Felicity Huffman in TVGuide

January 30, 2008 by Julie Bonner

felicity-huffman There is a great interview that TV Guide did with Felicity Huffman. They ask her thoughts on possibly losing a child in one of the Desperate Housewives episodes. She says, “I think that’s a great idea. If you’re an actor, you want to tap too deeply. It’s great drama. And it’s true, children die, and parents have to go on because they have other children.”

They also ask her about putting her own experiences as a mother into the show, the writer’s strike and her ideal job description.

You can read the rest of the interview here.

What do you think about Felicity’s character Lynette Scavo losing a child? Does that take it too far from the “dramedy” category? Losing a child is some major drama for a show. It sounds heart wrenching.
