MAJOR SPOILER: A ‘fan favorite’ will be killed off ‘Desperate Housewives’

So although we heard that no major character was going to be killed off the show in the half-point clilffhanger (which we know is a plane crash), it looks like Marc Cherry is now deciding to kill off several characters, according to Michael Ausiello.
He’s got a source who says one of those people will be a “fan favorite.”
Who do you think it could be??

omg ! now i think marc is a total looser ! he already killed edie ( a huge fan favourite ) and the show already lost viewers ! now he is going to kill another fan favourite ! does he want this show to loose all fans and viewers or what ! looks like all he does is killing people !

@Tanci — I LOVE Orson and all of his wicked/wackiness.
@Damien — I doubt Edie leaving affected the show that much. (Albeit, perhaps some…) The Neilsen ratings (which I follow) are still fantastic, but you have to remember one crucial fact: Television is getting bigger. More channels = Less network viewership. The fact that the ‘wives are winning their time slot is all that matters.
I really am stumped here. On the one hand, I’m thinking it’s Orson, because the actor stated he wanted to quit DH. However, I don’t know why the writers would decide to kill of another person connected to Bree romantically. (Rex, George, and now Orson…?)
I like Jamie’s theory of Mrs. McCluseky but Marc Cherry promised Kathryn Joosten he would never kill her off. However, now that the actress has been diagnosed with lung cancer, I’m really not sure.
I just pray they don’t kill of Karl. I really, really like his character. Crap. That’s it then. He’s a fan favorite. Well, at least this fan, anyway.
Fan favorites: MIKE, Mrs. McCluskey, Karl and Julie are the only ones I can think of. I wouldn’t say Orson, because…does anyone really like him? And what kind of name is Orson anyways?
So its not a “major character” but he’s killing off several characters. Are the wives the only ones considered to be major characters? If so, that would mean ALL the husbands are at risk. Hm…
1 word to that plane pilot : AIM for MJ ! He escaped Crazy Dave but now, if we get him with something bigger…
It may be one of those Scavo child too. Two on the way… the roster needs room for expansion. That could also lead to complication and losing the twins in her [Lynette's] belly…

I’m really stumped with who they are going to kill off, but I really don’t want them to do it. I’m so sick of shows doing that because it ruins the show. If Mike dies.. I’m going to be really disappointed. They do everything in there power to try to keep Susan and Mike apart.. and now that they are finally good.. they just might ruin it. Orson should go.. his time is up. Anyone else would suck. They did this with the O.C and it only lasted one more season after Marissa died. I think that Desperate Housewives needs to go on for a lot longer so they better do anything to dramatic and loose viewers.
Its a character (I think they said male) character that has been on since its inception in 2004. was mike from the beginning or Carlos?

Well with what i’ve read it not a house wife so that leaves bree out, and the other two in the house where orson and carl. And seeing how orson isn’t sticking around much longer, why not let him go out with a bad. SO it will either be orson or carl. We’ll find out tomorrow.
