Marcia Cross who plays Bree Van De Camp on Desperate Housewives is on the cover of Weddings In Style talking about her upcoming wedding that will be on store shelves Dec 27th:
MARCIA CROSSis “Desperate” no more — not that she ever was. The actress who “neverthought [she] would get married,” was a perfectly happy single galuntil she met finacé TOM MAHONEY and found herself ready to wed. The top TV actress spills the beans to InStyle Weddings on her upcoming nuptials.
“I don’t think I’m going to get stressed about the wedding,” she says. “Because I don’t have any preconceived notions about it.”
The television vet, who told her groom-to-be “Just give me a calltime,” when he proposed this past summer, is now becoming more a partof the decision-making process.
“I want elegant, warm and spacious … I don’t want it to be toocrowded,” she says of the yet-unpicked Los Angeles venue where the “IDos” will take place. “Lots of candlelight, pretty lighting andbeautiful flowers.”
And one thing she knows she doesn’t want? “I look horrible in white,” she says about choosing a dress.
What the happy couple does know is that it will take place on aSaturday this summer, it will be black tie, they will hire both a bandand a DJ, her godson will be ring bearer, seven of her younggoddaughters and friends’ little girls will walk down the aisle insteadof traditional bridesmaids and the guest list will be 175 of theirclosest friends and family.
“I have a lot of days that are about me,” Marcia tells the magazine,on sale December 27. “I want this to be about my family, his family andour friends.”
At 43, Marcia says she’d thought she’d be single forever. “I never thought I would get married, so it’s really weird,” she says. “Now, I’m really excited at the thought of this commitment.” From ET
