Marcia Cross on the Cover of Health Magazine
Marcia Cross looks amazing on the cover of Health Magazine! The magazine interviewed her and talked about considering adoption, trying a sperm donor and pregnancy complications.
Marcia is over-joyed with having twins and is loving being a mom, but when she first found out she was having multiples, she said, “I was terrified. As a mother, being outnumbered is scary.“
Marcia definitely sees this pregnancy as a blessing. She said that given her age and problems in the past, she wasn’t quite sure if she was going to be able to conceive at all.
“In my early 40s, I considered adoption, and I tried getting pregnant on my own through a sperm donor, but neither worked out. [When I married Tom,] we decided to skip our honeymoon and try in vitro after the wedding. I had already been through infertility treatments. It’s very, very difficult to get pregnant in your 40s. It’s costly and tough on your body and your relationship.“
She did have some complications with this pregnancy including bed rest at 28 weeks, her eyesight started going and she gained 12 pounds in one week, all of which are symptoms of preeclampsia.
By the end of March, at 35 weeks, she was officially diagnosed with the condition which meant that babies had to comeout. She had a C-section at 35 weeks and was very frightened.
When asked about the birth, even with all the problems, Marcia said, “I’d go through it all again. I don’t want to, but I would.“
Is Marcia looking to have more babies in the future? No, she is done giving birth she said and her and her husband are not 100% sure about adoption.
Given the fact that she has twins and a very busy career, I don’t blame her for considering stopping at two!
