Neal McDonough: This season’s ending is going to be ‘killer’
March 7, 2009 by Amy Bartner
Neal McDonough, the man who plays Crazy Dave Williams, talks to TV Guide — which is cool because we don’t normally see much out of this actor in the way of interviews. And he seems like a down-to-earth, less-than-crazy, normal guy, doesn’t he?
He confirms that Edie will not only die, but that she’ll die in the NEXT EPISODE. He wouldn’t say that Dave kills Edie, or anything more details about her death, though. I’m super, super excited for the Camping Trip of Death that Crazy Dave is orchestrating.
“She’s going to have a fantastic send-off,” he says.
OMGCANNOTWAIT!!!

I nominate Amy as this week’s winner!
Loser: Me. I’ll take the fall.
Great interview with Neal!
Don’t assume because Neal says Edie will die in the next epiosode that it will happen that way. I’ve read many storylines on this site that never happened, just don’t take is so seriously.
i guess we’ll just have to watch and see.(response to john)=]
i wish it were susan who were dying but i guess edie is ok too. just as long as lynette and gaby dont go ANYWHERE, im ok with the rest of the housewives dying. lol
Hey Jaz, I really like everyone on the show but if they ever get rid of Lynnette or Bree I’m done with the show. I have a feeling that they have something planned for Edie. I think someone in the publicity department is trying way to hard. There’s supposed to be a ‘kiss’ between Susan & Gabby. I don’t think it’s what everyone expects
Okay. I am eagerly awaiting Amy’s blog, but I found this on IMDB. A bit of a spoiler for the next episode — which sheds a little light on the forthcoming “lesbian kiss”:
As Susan continues to work as a teachers’ aide, she tries stay on the personnel officer, Jessie’s, good side since she will be evaluating Susan’s performance. But Jessie, who happens to be a closeted lesbian, mistakes Susan’s stuttering and lame attempts to be friendly as come-ons. Meanwhile, Edie begins looking for more information at a local newspaper office on information on the people who died in Mike’s car accident years earlier, and discovers the connection between the victims, and Dave. Lynette interviews for an ad job for herself, and soon answers one. Bree forces Orson to attend therapy sessions for their marital troubles, as well as his kleptomania. Carlos gets a promotion, which will lead to him working with Lucy, an overweight, but attractive woman in her late 30s… and who happens to be Carlos’s ex-roommate.
I’m guessing that Susan and Jessie aren’t going to lock lips. Susan is (I’ll betcha a nickel) going to recruit Gaby to play her lesbian lover to “throw off” Jessie.
Jamie: I can’t POSSIBLY be the winner. My real life doesn’t involve any sort of desperate housewivery. Also, I think you’re totally dead on with the Gaby/Susan kiss. We knew it couldn’t be a real, romantic situation, and this HAS to be it. Good work, and thanks for the tip!!
John: You were totally right that Edie didn’t die in this episode. I wonder why Neal made that statement? He probably misspoke and meant to say she’d die at the end of the season. They wouldn’t throw the death of a housewife in the middle of the season — that’s a season ender, for sure. I’m also with you on the fact that someone on the show is trying too hard to get ratings. Eh, I mean, that’s what it’s all about, right? All us fans just ask for a good show in the process!!
Jaz: See, the only one I’m OK with dying is Susan, but we know that’s never going to happen! And even then, you have to admit, she does bring a lot to the show. It’s like watching Amy Winehouse: You feel bad for her, you want someone to help her, but you can’t stop reading TMZ stories about her. That’s how I feel about Susan.
amy- you’re so right and i never even thought of susan that way. lol but you’re right, i can’t look away no matter how annoyed or frustrated i am with her.
john i am sad that you were right.
and i think i saw 1 of the housewives on an interview saying they just now taped the edpisode where edie dies. (felicity on regis and kelly). so deep inside i knew it was too early but i was hoping you were wrong. =]
anyways edie just figured out that dave purposefully lied and changed his last name now. dont think he can hold in his past from everyone for much longer.
