Update on Gale Harold’s Condition

On October 14th, Desperate Housewives actor Gale Harold was in a motorcycle accident. The latest update on his condition is that he is out of intensive care and improving daily after some serious injuries.

“A full recovery is expected,” said a statement from Nancy Seltzer & Associates, which represents the actor. “He thanks everyone for their good wishes.”

After the accident, Gale had swelling on the brain as well as a fractured shoulder. He has been in the intensive care unit at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center.

March Cherry said early last week that no production disruptions were expected. I don’t know if that’s still the case, but the most important thing is that Gale Harold makes a full recovery.

Poll: What Did You Think of 5.04 ‘Back in Business’

Another season 5 Desperate Housewives episode is behind us. This Sunday was episode 5.04 “Back In Business”. (Recap coming soon!)

Although the ladies of Wisteria Lane are good friends with Bree, it is hard for them not to be jealous of her success and that jealousy reared its little head at a party honoring Bree. Lynette offered Bree marketing advice that she didn’t like and Lynette was hurt. The she runs into her old assistant at the party and he has his own advertising firm, which just so happens to be the one doing Bree’s ads. Ouch! Talk abut a punch in the stomach.Needless to say, Lynette gets a little drunk and causes a scene.

Overall, what did you think of this episode?

Desperate Housewives 5.05 ‘Mirror, Mirror’ Promo and Sneak Peeks

The October 26th Desperate Housewives episode 5.05 “Mirror, Mirror” will fill us in a little on the 5 years we all missed out on. What happened during those 5 years on Wisteria Lane?

We know that Susan and Mike split because of the wreck, but how did she meet Jackson? We know that Bree welcomed Orson back but why? We also know that Gaby gained some weight and had a couple of daughter, but we don’t know how she got there exactly. We also know that Tom and Lynette still own the pizzeria, but what has their life been like over the past 5 years. It seems to me that their marriage is in trouble. So many unanswered questions and I am *hoping* they will answer them for us. I feel a little lost this season.

Desperate Housewives 5.05 ‘Mirror, Mirror’

 Desperate Housewives 5.05 “Mirror, Mirror” airs on October 26th and the night will be full of surprises.

Dave convinces Susan to throw Mrs. McCluskey a surprise party for her 70th birthday. Aw, what a nice guy right? Wrong! He obviously has a hidden agenda and we will soon enough find out what exactly that agenda is.

Gaby is scared that she might be pregnant. Yes, you just read that right…PREGNANT! (Blind sex must be powerful!) I can’t imagine Gaby juggling another child.

Jackson tells Susan that he wants to take their relationship to the next level. If I know Susan as well as I think I do, she’s going to freak. I just don’t think she is ready for “the next level”.

Tom tells Lynette he sold the pizzeria, which I am sure she was thrilled about. Not. We find out what this bond between Katherine is Bree is all about and ABC says it’s “startling”.

Last but not least, Mrs. McCluskey loses it, gets outraged about something and the whole neighborhood thinks she’s nuts.

This sounds like an awesome episode. Can’t wait!!

Gale Harold Injured in Accident, Is in Stable Condition

Update (10/17):“According to reports, the Desperate Housewives star is improving nicely from his motorcycle accident earlier this week. At the moment Gale is still under observation at County-USC in downtown Los Angeles, but he will be moved to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center near Beverly Hills for further treatment when a bed becomes available. According to reports, he’s expected to recover, which is fancy talk for “everything is gonna be all right.” Despite Harold’s injury and ongoing recovery, no major Desperate Housewives production disruptions are expected.” Source: E! Update: Marc Cherry has said, “We’re hearing he’s going to be fine, but he’s going to be recovering for a couple of weeks.” He also said that Gale was shooting scenes for the show this week and at least one scene has been written due to the accident.

E! Online has reported that Gale Harold, who plays Susan’s lover on Desperate Housewives, was injured in a motorcycle accident yesterday, October 14th.

Hospital sources confirmed that he was in the neurosurgical intensive care unit at County-USC Medical Center in stable condition. A representative for the actor said, “We can confirm that Gale Harold was in a motorcycle accident yesterday, Oct 14. He has fractured his shoulder and is under observation to assess any possible further injuries. Everyone is hopeful for a full recovery. No one else was injured in the accident.”

Let’s hope there are no more injuries and that he has a speedy recovery. I’ll keep you updated with any new information.

The Desperate Housewives Fire - Who Will Survive?

The November episode, City on Fire, is going to bring some major drama to Wisteria Lane. TV Guide will have a full story in their October 20th issue, which hits newsstands Thursday, October 16th.

Marc Cherry has given us a few hints about the episode, saying that it has some major special effects. All of Wisteria Lane shows up at a club to cheer The Garage Band on (Mike, Carlos, Orson, Tom and Dave) which is now called Blue Odyssey. The club has a battle of the bands and Blue Odyssey goes up against real life band, Tokyo Police Club. Then the unthinkable happens, a fire breaks out at the club and some on Wisteria Lane don’t make it out.

Who survives? Dana Delany’s character Katherine has been through a lot on the show and it seems she’s about to go through even more. She says, “I finally have a bit of a love interest on the show, but he’s kind of lost in the fire so it’s very dramatic.” Who in the world could it be?

Susan’s daughter Julie also shows up in this episode with a new boyfriend name Lloyd, played by Wings star Steven Weber. He’s a tad bit older than her. As far as their fate in the fire, Andrea Bowen says, “Julie always seem to escape the major travesties on the show, and usually has something to do with her mother staying safe as well. But we’re trying to figure out what happens to Lloyd.”

This episode is full of guest appearances. Six Feet Under’s Frances Conroy, joins the cast as a “a creepy old lady who latches on to our family,” says Eva Longoria. Will she escape the fire? Eva says, “I’m trying to get rid of her and the fire might do her in!”
