Random Desperate Housewife Hair Tip
This has nothing to do with Desperate Housewives but I think it’s an important tip for any Housewife out there with frizzy curly hair like mine. :)
Recently my good friend Christina sent me Oscar Blandi Raffinata straightening balm to try out and I’ve been so busy I just got around to it yesterday.
Let me preface this by saying I have a CHI hair straightener (it’s so awesome!) and can get great results without the balm, but I’ve never done it so fast and it’s never been this shiny before the balm.
Usually it takes me around an hour to get my hair straight, but with the balm it took 15 minutes!
Anyway, here’s what I did
- I brushed my dry hair out first until I looked like Diana Ross.
- Slathered my hair with a dime sized amount of the balm.
- Then did my makeup while I let the balm air dry for about 4 minutes because it says to blow dry it not use a straightener. Not sure if I needed to wait but whatever.
- Then just grabbed handfuls of hair and slowly ran the straightener through chunks slowly. Usually I would section off my hair and start from the back and go forward but I was in a hurry so I basically straightened as if it were a brush taking really large areas at a time and it actually worked!
Here’s a picture of my curly hair and here it is straight after using my straightener and the Oscar Blandi balm. Oh I forgot to mention this product smells REALLY good!
Thanks Christina!

As a fellow frizzy/curly girl who loves her hair strait, I may have to get me some of this product. It sounds too good to be true.
