Episode 218: “Everyone Says Don’t”

The show starts off with Mary Alice talking about Bree’s first day of sobriety…cut to Bree and her sponsor are getting closer and closer, spending loads of time together.  She kisses him on the cheek while sitting in her dinning room and he freaks out.  Apparently he’s a sexaholic…he tells her they can’t get involved because of that and that the slightest touch gets his juices flowing. She grabs his face and kisses him on the lips and tells him he handles it better than he gives himself credit for.  They start fooling around and he rips his shirt off and then backs away and says he has to go.

Mary Alice then says, “Bree got her answer, that the easiest way to overcome an addiction is to replace it with another one.”

Carlos and Gaby are hanging out in the strip club where Libby works.  They’re bringing her a fancy and expensive camera that she requested.  When Libby sees them she gets really angry and wants them to go because she doesn’t want Frank her boyfriend to meet them…OOPS!…they meet Frank…and find out he’s the father, or so he thinks!

Karl is hanging out at Susan’s and tells Julie and Susan that he popped the question to Edie.  Susan gets worried and reminds him that he wasn’t supposed to do that until after 6 month when they were divorced again.  He says not to worry because Edie will take a long time to plan their wedding. Then they start reminiscing about their wedding day, and flirting with each other as Julie gets angry and annoyed.

Bree catches Andrew’s lawyer in her kitchen grabbing a beer…(I really don’t like him!), he gives her the list of witnesses that they’re going to use and Lynette is on top.

She goes to visit Lynette and first apologizes for fighting with her and tells her she’s sober now.  Then she brings about the trial.  She asks her what she would say and Lynette she says she’ll concentrate on her good qualities.  Bree thanks her and starts to leave when Lynette asks if that’s the only reason she came over because she wanted to make sure she wouldn’t make her lose the court case.  Bree then tells Lynette about how evil  Andrew is being and how he’s lying just to get his trust fund to buy a car.  Lynette is conflicted and says she’ll tell the truth…:(

Mike opens his front door and is greeted by Felicia.  She is mad that everyone in the neighborhood is being friendly with Paul Young.  She wants Mike to kill him.  He says things have changed and that he won’t, but she says she’ll take care of it then.

Carlos and Gaby are at their lawyer’s office.  They tell him about the birth father and their concerns regarding Libby’s baby.  They let it slip that they’ve been giving Libby money and he gets upset.  Gaby says a really cute and true line, “what you said we could give her gifts and money is everyone favorite gift to get”.  He tells them that he could get in huge trouble for this because it looks like they’re buying the baby.  He gives them some papers for them to get Frank to sign away his rights to the baby, but wants to pretend he has nothing to do with it.

Julie mentions Susan and Karl are flirting and how it’s upsetting her to Susan…they bump into Edie and she tells them she’s planning a surprise wedding…Oh NO!

Lynette is meeting with Andrew’s lawyer…she says she won’t testify…he then shows her the picture of Andrew all bruised up and says Bree did it…Lynette isn’t sure what to do or to believe.

Gabrielle and Carlos are packing a bag full of money to give to Frank to buy his baby.  They’re arguing about how much money to give him…

Later on they meet with Frank and Libby at the club…Frank doesn’t want to give up the baby.  Libby says it isn’t his, that it was someone from the Calgary Stampede…hehe, go Canada!

Bree meets with Peter before her AA meeting and he introduces her to Donna, her new sponsor…she says she doesn’t want anyone but him…:(

Gaby and Lynette are talking about Bree and the trial.  Lynette thinks Bree might have beaten up Andrew but Gaby doesn’t believe it.  Susan is waiting for Karl…she tells him about the secret wedding.

Bree’s meeting with her new sponsor…she’s totally a lesbian, but out of the blue says that she isn’t…who cares?  She grabs Bree and takes her hiking.  hehe

Susan and Karl are at Edie’s place.  They come in to see Dr. Ron.  Obviously Edie now knows everything about the marriage and gets so angry she throws a vase at them.

Lynette is talking to Andrew about a nice car she’s trying to sell at work.  She asks him to test drive it because he’s her demographic.  Really she’s just trying to see if Bree was right and all Andrew wants was a fancy new car…I think she figures out that Andrew’s lying about the abuse when he asks Lynette if she can get him a discount on the car.

Susan and Karl are at Edie’s…They want to make it up to Edie and explain that they only got re married for insurance purposes.  Edie says that they should have remembered that Susan getting married to pay for her operation was her idea and that they should have told her about the scam of a marriage.  For their punishment for lying Edie’s going to make Susan be the bartender at her engagement party and it’s going to be super expensive and paid for by Karl.

Lynette is being interviewed by Andrew’s lawyer.  When he asks what happened with Lynette’s kids while Bree was babysitting she starts talking about how her kids are like little rats that can crawl through tiny holes and that it wasn’t Bree’s fault they got away.  She says Bree wasn’t responsible and that she’s a responsible mother and wonderful friend.  The lawyer then asks if Bree has a drinking problem and Lynette says no.  He asks why she lined her front stoop with booze bottles then and she says she was helping her with her recycling.  The Lawyer asks if she knows what will happen if she’s lying…she says that she hates liars and looks at Andrew.

Bree calls Peter…he says that if she feels like she needs a drink she should call Donna…Bree says she and Donna are really clicking, and now that Peter isn’t her sponsor anymore maybe they can get involved…she asks him to come to Edie and Karl’s engagement party…He says no and he asks her not to call him again:(

Paul Young shows up at the engagement party and wonders why he was invited.  Edie bosses Susan around.  Then Carlos gets a call that the birth mother is in labor…Gaby’s nervous that the baby’s early and they rush off.

Susan finds a picture of herself in an old book of Karl’s…she goes to talk to him about it and he kisses her.  Then Edie comes in and Karl throws Susan off the bed to hide her.  Didn’t she just have major surgery?  I hope she didn’t rupture any stitches!

Bree is at a bar…she asks the bartender the best way to get drunk.

Carlos and Gaby are at the hospital…Gaby holds the baby for the first time…says “honey you were right, this was all worth it”.

Edie’s opening presents…Felicia gives Edie Martha’s dentures…eeew!  she then goes on talking about how Paul Young killed her sister and that everyone in the room should know they’re hanging out with a murderer…Paul leaves.

Bree Van De Camp drunk at a bar
Peter shows up at a bar to find Bree drunk and sleeping at a booth…he asks why she didn’t call Donna, she says “I don’t need Donna, I need you”  he picks her up and takes her out and mumbles something about not liking red heads.
