Recap of: January 22nd season 2 episode 13 There’s Something about War
Hey Guys here’s my play by play recap of tonight’s episode of Desperate Housewives. It was a great one! Let me know if I missed anything.:
Edie’s having trouble with Karl…not paying attention to her so she puts on sexy lingerie…ties karl up, then left him to watch TV and eat pie by herself.
the guest bedroom in the Applewhites house could see the whole neighborhood…Matthew decides Caleb is going to use the guest bedroom…
at church Gabrielle is cooing at a baby, Carlos notices and bothers about having kids, she says she need more time…he wants to know when…then sister Mary Bernard appears and she screams “son of a bitch!”
meanwhile Bree arrives home and Danielle is in the middle of fooling around with Matthew Applewhite. Bree comes into her room where Matthew is hiding under the bed “Danielle, Question, is that a black man hiding under your bed?”
Bree takes them over to the Applewhite and Bree tells Betty what’s going on and Betty slaps Matthew…tells her they’re moving
Lynette’s working on a proposal, Tom wants to help…He has really bad ideas…then Lynette grabs onto one makes him really excited but she was just being sarcastic…
Susan’s being dropped of by Dr. Ron…Susan invites him in…saying Julie isn’t home…he says she should turn the TV on. then she mentions she ha a bottle of wine, he says see you Thursday. she asks him if she repulses him. they’ve been on three dates…he says that he wants to wait until he’s no longer her doctor…then says oh what the hell and kisses her making Susan giddy
Oh NO!!! Carlos gets into the car with the Nun. she starts talking about how she thinks Carlos is unhappy. Tells her about how he wants kids but Gabrielle wants them. Sister Mary hands him a pamphlet about annulment!!!! She’s trying to break up Carlos and Gaby!!!!
Lynette calls Tom to tell him about how the pitch worked…He gets really excited, but it sounds like she’s just trying to make him feel good and she changed everything.
Meanwhile Dr. Ron tells Susan she needs her splean removed. He asks if she’s ok with doing the operation. Then the Nurse informs her that it will be his first! Oy
Carlos comes to talk with Gaby about the baby situation. He wants her to promise that they’ll have children. She says she can’t promise. He threatens annulment! Gaby knows the Nun put him up to it.
Lynette gets home and asks Tom if he knows of anyone she could hire…He suggests himself. Lynette says she doesn’t think it’s a good idea. He wants a real job. He mentions the office daycare (What happened with that? It was mentioned in the episode where she fighted to get it, but then Tom still needs to be a stay at home dad? All the kids minus Penny are in school. What does Tom DO all day?)…She really doesn’t want to hire him…and Tom gets really mad.
At Lynette’s office they’re doing interviews. Tom comes in for an interview callin himself Tom Cavos. Lynette tells him that she doesn’t want to be his boss…He tells her that if she doesn’t let him do the interview it’ll ruin their marriage. He also mentions that he resents her for not getting his raise…Lynette’s boss loves him and wants to hire tom despite lynette trying to sbatoge him.
Gabrielle goes into the confession booth and says that she needs the father to get rid of the nun because it’s ruining her marriage. apparently he says her name in his sleep. the priests asks if she thinks they’re having sex and she says yes! saying that carlos confessed everything right before asking for an annulment…stupid Gabrielle…then she’s doing confession but to a different priest and says she told a lie, how many hail marys does she have to say
danielle is crying…blames Bree for everything in her life…saying she’s determined to ruin her life. What a little brat! Why is Bree taking this crap from her. Bree suggests a pizza for dinner. Jeeze! Bree’s getting pushed around by her bratty kids!
Matthew comes home and Caleb says “he’s mad at you because you hit him…” tells Caleb that if she ever sees him looking at Danielle she’ll hit him…
Susan’s eating dinner with Dr. Ron…she asks about how he feels about the operation…”it’s not the freshest piece of meat” and susan says “i’m not the freshest piece of meat, i’ve got 30 to 40 years on me” He’s pissed off at her for not wanting him to do the surgery and leaves an upset Susan.
Lynette comes home to Tom and tells him he has the job on one condition…that he can never throw the thing with the promotion in her face again. he asks his forgiveness. she complements him on dinner and he kisses and thanks her. poor Lynette is crying! :(
Caleb pulls down the newspaper covering the window down while Bree comes over tot alk to Betty about the kids. Bree suggests that they shouldn’t seperate them. Sounds like Betty doesn’t want them to see each other…Bree sees Caleb in their window and she comes home and tells Danielle that she’s forbidden to go over there and calls Lynette to tell her that she has big news…
Carlos tells Gaby that she’s being transfered to Alaska…Carlos is upset.
Susan confronts Dr. Ron about the surgery…She says that she’s sick of jumping over backwords for a man…he then tells her that he doesn’t want to be her doctor or her surgeon because he really likes her! YAY!
Danielle tells Matthew that her mom saw Caleb…Danielle says her family has secrets too…he says you tell me yours first…hmm…not a goo sign? blackmail?
Gabrielle comes to see Sister Mary…Sister Mary gets upset and throws a brush at her head…gaby punches her…sister mary grabs her by the hair as people are coming in…gaby sets her on fire…then throws her to the floor to put the fire out…then sister mary bites her…!!! Awesome fight scene!!!! A Priest splits them up.
Gaby comes home…Carlos says what the hell were you thinking…he got a call from the church saying that she started a fight with sister mary. Carlos says sorry for asking for an annulment. He says he needs to have a child. Gabrielle says he needs to choose. He chooses her! she says i think you made thew right desiion and she says that she wants to have a baby! AWWWW!!!! So cute they hug and look happy!
Betty comes to Bree’s door wanting to talk as Bree’s setting up for poker. Betty threatens Bree to not tell anyone about Caleb, or she’ll tell people about Andrew Killing Juanita Solis! The Gals show up to hear the scoop on the Applewhites, then she says that Betty is going to join their weekly game.
