Recap of The Housewives on the Golden Globes
-Teri Hatcher presented the award for supporting role actress in a comedy TV show to Sandra Oh from Grey’s Anatomy with the new Superman. It was cute, she offered to give him advice on being superman because of her own super past on Lois Lane.
-Nicollette gave out the award for the best actress in a drama TV show to Geena Davis.
-”`Desperate Housewives’ is one of the biggest shows on the planet,” quipped presenter Chris Rock, “and `Weeds’ is only watched by Snoop Doggy Dogg.” via smart
Chris rock gives out the award for the category of Best Performance by an Actress In A Television Series - Musical Or Comedy in which all the housewives (minus Nicollette Sheridan) were nominated but none of them won! it went to Mary-Louise Parker of Weeds!!! Erg! I was quite disappointed with this. SO unfair since I don’t even watch Weeds. hehe
-The Housewives did however win in the category of Best Television Series - Musical Or Comedy. All the ladies and guys Mike Denton and Doug Savant also went up to receive their award.
-Leonardo DiCaprio gave Felicity Huffman her Golden Globe for TransAmerica. She had a meaningful speech in which she thanked the normal people but also made a point of mentioning that it was a film that “heals and brings understanding” a
“film about coming home to your community, family and yourself”. She also
“saluted the men and women who brave ostracism to become who they really are”.
