Seven More Episodes of Desperate Housewives?
TV producers were back at work on Monday anticipating the end of the writer’s strike. Many of the series are expected to restart production within 2 weeks, some even earlier.
The networks have obviously been losing viewers and everyone’s anxious to get this show on the road!
What all is involved in restarting production? Well, it sounds exhausting, but well worth it if you ask me. Scripts have to be written, sets built, episodes shot and then the editing.
What are the plans for Desperate Housewives? Here’s what Marc Cherry had to say:
“I had three months to rest up, and I don’t mind staying up a few late nights.” He’ll “trim away some ideas and get to the bare bones” of the story arc he had mapped out for the rest of this season. ABC had asked about quickly starting work on Season 5, but Cherry says it will be “pretty much impossible” to plot a new season without a break. “I can’t do that on the fly.”
Cherry expects to pump out 7 more episodes, even is it means some late nights. Late night? Heck, I’m all for that! Do whatever it takes people! We need some new TV shows…stat!
