The search for the actor who will play Katherine Mayfair’s infamous ex has come to an end. They offered Ray Liotta the part, but he turned it down. :(

And the role on Desperate Housewives goes to….Gary Cole.
“Sources confirm that the onetime West Wing veep has landed the pivotal part and will first air on April 20, DH’s second episode back. Cole is expected to stick around for a handful of episodes.”
