Will We See New Episodes This Season?
Because of the writer’s strike, this is the million dollar question everyone has on their minds. What is the fate of the rest of the season as far as new episodes go? Will we have to wait until next fall for new shows? Oh my goodness…I really hope not!
An article by Variety had some hopeful news from Marc Cherry, the Desperate Housewives creator:
Earlier this week, before the DGA news, "Desperate Housewives" creator Marc Cherry told KABC-TV that a strike settlement in the next two weeks would let him produce most of the episodes that had been planned for this season.
Other execs are saying that Valentine’s Day is the magical deadline for them to be able to create new shows that could be aired this season, if networks are willing to show these new episodes into June and July that is.
Supposedly ABC and several other networks are in talks with the WGA throughout this week. I’m crossing my fingers!
